Module M-1 · The starting point
Comprehensive company diagnostics
The starting point for any professional organisational intervention.
What diagnostics is
The starting point for every intervention
Diagnostics brings together the identification, classification and ranking of the key internal and external problems and supports of the company’s operations. It includes an analysis of influencing factors and the determination of the stage in the organisation’s life cycle, an analysis and assessment of financial health, a profile of the collective system of values and the company’s strategic position within its industry.
No organisation can solve all of its problems in real time, but it can identify the key problems and supports and focus on what truly matters and what can realistically improve its strategic and financial position. Diagnostics is not merely a static picture of the situation; it also indicates the directions of change.
Diagnostics covers „hard indicators" relating to work and operations and „soft indicators" of the collective system of values, the organisation’s psychosocial health and the styles and attitudes of key people, on whose decisions the company’s future most depends.
